BAMCEF’s 27th National Convention held at Chennai with GRAND SUCCESS

BAMCEF’s 27th National Convention was organized from 19th to 22nd December 2010 at Ayothi Dassar-Periyar Ground, (Pachapayas College Ground), Chennai. This convention was a grand success in line with the objective set forth for the convention by the CEC of BAMCEF.

In all 2000 Cader-delegates from different states participated in this convention with international delegates from UAE and USA. The convention was inaugurated by Dr. P. Murugesa Boopaphi (Vice-Chancellor, Tamil Nadu Agriculture University, Coimbatore) and Mr. S. S. Dhammy (National President, BAMCEF) presided over the session.

New format of the convention

The convention was organized on two fronts. One was related only for Caders and other part relating to Mass Awakening Sessions. Three group discussion topics were designed for delegates, whereas three mass awakening sessions were organized for general awakening of the masses.

Cader building

On the first day of the convention all the present delegates were grouped into 7 different groups comprising of 20 to 30 delegates to discuss the delegate topics. In all 21 groups were made so that there will be participation of each and every delegate in the group discussion. These 7 groups in each topic, were having there different group leaders, which again consolidated their views on one particular topic and the same were conveyed to the present delegates on respective delegate session days. The delegate topics kept for discussion were

1)      “Understanding the missionary organization, Obstacles in involving SC/ST/OBC and religious minorities in the missionary organization and means to overcome”

2)      “Necessity of generating perennial and matching financial resources to accomplish the objective of missionary organization”

3)      “The role of Mulnivasi identity in running the Phuley-Ambedkarite movement. The attack from counter forces and ways to tackle them”

These sessions were conducted by CEC members and were presided by senior functionaries of BAMCEF, like, Mr. S. S. Dhammy, Mr.B. D. Borkar and Mr. Dayaram

Opinion building

The mass awakening topics kept for discussion were

1)      “Head count of OBC’s after the census is an eye wash by the Government and is detrimental to the constitutional rights of OBC’s”

2)      “Do the religious minorities ever expect justice from a judiciary commanded by Brahminism?”

3)      “The changing face of Brahminical terrorism, a threat to national security and integrity”

Various dignitaries who delivered there awakening speeches were, Mr. Shiv Nandan Ram (Retd. IAS, Patna), Mr. Vidhu Thalai Rajendra (Gen. Sec. PDK Chennai), Dr. Manisha Bangar (National President, Mulnivasi Mahila Sangh), Dr. K. S. Chawhan (Sr. Adv. Supreme court), Dr. Shiv Jatan Thakur (Eng. Deptt, Patna University), Mr. Azhariaha Bishop (CSI Chennai), Dr. Ajit Chahal (Law Dept. Kurukshetra Uni.) , Prof. D. Peda Raju (Dept. of English, Andhra University)

All these three sessions were conducted by CEC members and Presided by Mr.H.S.Patel, Mr.Kaleem Ansari and Prof. P.D.Satyapal.

One session was dedicated to the offshoot wings of BAMCEF to make aware of their developments in their respective fields.

Highlights of the convention:

1)      It is first time that BAMCEF has organized its National Convention in the State of Tamil Nadu. The Tamil Nadu State unit has chalked out plan to spread BAMCEF’s activities at district and tahsil level.

2)      There was continuous heavy rain for the initial two days of the convention, but despite of the rain the convention went as per the plan and all the committed caders of BAMCEF attended all the sessions without fail, all the residential, dining and main pandal arrangements were made rain proof

3)      As per decided plan to publish and print literature in vernacular language, the book “BAMCEF in brief” in Tamil Language was inaugurated at the hands of Chief guest of the convention, whereas “Mulnivasi calendar 2011 Hindi and English” was inaugurated at the hands of CEC member, Mr.B.D.Borkar.

4)      Two other books translated in Tamil language and one in English were also inaugurated in different sessions.

5)      BAMCEF has republished the Annihilation of Caste in Tamil language. This book was translated by E.V.R. Periyar Ramasamy.

6)      BAMCEF is running successfully its print media in six languages. Their membership and circulation is growing up speedily.

7)      The first day BAMCEF Flag hosting ceremony was followed with traditional Mulnivasi dance by a group of Mulnivasi activists of Tamilnadu.

8)      The 5th day of the convention was dedicated for National General Body Meeting with thought provoking participation by the caders for the development of BAMCEF organization.

9)      The convention was covered by Print and Electronic media.

10)  All the caders and senior functionaries of BAMCEF felt that the purpose of organizing national convention at Chennai was fulfilled with the motivation created within the Tamilnadu caders and their commitments given in the Vote of thanks session.

11)  An exhibition on BAMCEF’s History, (past journey) was inspiring; addition to this there was a painting exhibition on the various aspects of the movement.

12)  The BAMCEF CEC has chalked out a plan to register 1,00,000 (One Lakh) Members in the year of 2011. Apart from this the separate target also given to the offshoot wings of the BAMCEF.

13)  BAMCEF has reestablished its cader training system. Now BAMCE has planned cader camps at districts level. In addition national level training workshops will also be organized through the year.

Achievements of the year 2010:

  1. Own Building for BAMCEF Central Office
  2. Membership of BAMCEF and its offshoot wings crossed 25000
  3. Increased the numbers of Cader camps and cader masters throughout country
  4. Through Nationwide campaign on “Why RSS is opposing caste based census of OBCs?” BAMCEF has successfully awakened the masses on ‘Caste Based Census’.
  5. BAMCEF has formed national structure of the offshoot wings of BAMCEF.
    1. Mulnivasi Sangh (Student and Youth)
    2. Mulnivasi Mahila Sangh
    3. BAMCEF Mahila Wing
    4. BAMCEF Pensioners Wing
    5. BAMCEF Teachers Sangh
    6. BAMCEF Metropolitan Network
    7. BAMCEF International Network

BAMCEF has decided to hold their separate conventions to take review of activities. Mulnivasi sangh, Mulnivasi Mahila Sangh, BAMCEF Woment wing, BAMCEF International Network have held their conventions. BAMCEF is guiding and monitoring their activities.

  1. BAMCEF is now running six periodicals in Punjabi, Hindi, Gujarati, Marathi, Telugu and English.
  2. BAMCEF has successfully organized campaign throughout country. Hundreds of meetings, symposiums have organized on following two subjects:
    1. Why RSS is opposing to the Caste Based Census of the OBCs?
    2. Why Congress, BJP & Communist Parties are opposing reservation of OBC’s & Minorities within reservation in Women’s Reservation Bill?
  3. There are big counter activities from Brahminical forces against Mulnivasi identity. To defeat them BAMCEF has made plan at various level. BAMCEF has organized Mulnivasi Mela (Festive-gathering) throughout country; the programme will be continued every year.

    Great work done by BAMCEF.I wish them best of luck and continue their journey.Lets make this country free from the exploitation done by high cast people and give the power to the originals here.
    one thing I would like to suggest that coverage of BAMCEF movement should be done in print and electronic media nationwide so that people become more and more aware of this movement.

    this great effort done by bamcef for sc,st,obc and minority of india. they must have joind the organization and sport to bamcef.
